Modulatory Effect of Gastric Pentadecapeptide BPC 157 on Angiogenesis in Muscle and Tendon Healing
Researchers compared cell-culture work with crushed muscle and transected muscle and tendon models in rats. BPC-157 did not show direct angiogenic activity in cultured cells, while treated animals showed vascular changes associated with more organized healing and increased VEGF expression.

Gastric Pentadecapeptide BPC 157 Accelerates Healing of Transected Rat Achilles Tendon
After Achilles tendon transection, treated rats were assessed over 14 days using functional, biomechanical, microscopic, and macroscopic measures. The treatment groups showed higher functional scores and failure loads, more organized collagen-related healing, and smaller tendon defects than saline controls.
